Mine bloomed as well. I think the inside will wait today. I need to be in the sun and air. It is a perfect solstice day.

after a long period of rain... really long... with only a few moments of sun scattered over months... the sun has come out today for solstice... i hope it stays for awhile. this has been hard on a lot of people. mostly i am worried for the farmers and my own garden. the peas are 8 feet high with no pea pods. lots of flowers waiting for some warmth. this is so uncharacteristic for portland, or. oh, persephone, please stay with us and bless us with your beauty!

they are
otherworldly, blooming at night,
in their own private moment, but
for the hawkmoths too....so i
guess, really not private, but
for themselves and the hawkmoths.
so...maybe i connect so much, because it seems so much that this is the way it is for me too, for
the unexpected but hoped for in the night, like a hawk moth.
