i have one in my mind....you know, around here people frown on clotheslines? too bad, it is a great way to view cloth on a regular basis. i have one outside too. you know, my grandmother wove her sheets. they were stitched together from narrow strips of cloth.
Simplicity at it's best, love it. I thought datura were white? Camera? or they come in blue? Happy belated solstice. Great photo of flower as well as this line. :)
helen...the Anonymous was the comment just before you...that's Marti. your comment says Helen, but there is no comment? other than to say you are not anon?????
No ,that was my comment, it's exactly what I wrote, but it posted as anonymous,I must have clicked the wrong button I'm known to do that, but it is my comment. any way.... Are Datura white? Is the camera making it blue? Just curious, because it sure is beautiful.
Clothes hanging on the line, dancing in the breeze and happy memories of time spent with my Mama. She would teach just how to place the pins on clothing, sometimes wanting all like colored items to be together which made hanging the wash, a fun game. But then would come the lessons in ironing, those I did not like.
Speaking of Anonymous, this is Marti, who comments using Anonymous. I am one of grace's non-sewing friends, although I did take a stab at it this past weekend. I don't have a google account or blog and don't know what the other identities, openid,name/url actually mean so when I comment on grace's blog it will say Anonymous but I always sign my name Marti and grace responds back to me as Marti/Anon. Now either this has helped when you see Anonymous or thoroughly confused everyone...!
helen ~ datura ARE white, but some, small datura are tinged in lavendar.
i don't know why the bloom always appears this blue color when photographed at night, which is always when it opens and is in full glory. used the flash, but even if i don't, there is the same blueish white? i think it's the magic. maybe because it is so incredibly intense....standing out so in a very singlular manner from all the rest around it...it really is stunning. it is an hallucinogenic so what ever that is might also come into play???? glad we got the Anon worked out.
i was reading your comment at spiritcloth that you lived in an econoline van and i laughed because i lived in a vw bus for a while... so we've lived in trailers, buses, the desert, have the same clothes and same mind... hahahahaha

One of my grandmothers has never had a dryer...hangs everything out to dry on the line.
reminds me of my old clothesline... we seem to have the same clothes :)

you made me laugh and also, it
doesn't surprise me that we seem
