love

stitched with Jude's invisible basting on all
intersecting lines
i can sit for hours, mouth hanging open, gazing upon the smallest detail. i can trace the stitches with my fingertip endlessly. a certain kind of braille ~

old skirt, the remnant table ripstop nylon yardage, butterfly another thriftshop skirt

I'm so glad that the photo enlarges when clicked on...I needed a closer look at that. It is love-ly indeed!

deb...then if you click again, the little magnifying glass appears for even closer
i just can't stop looking, touching. it's pathetic.
and i know there is ~more~, have no idea exactly what, but here and there, some very small but important stitching yet to come...

The little magnifying glass lets you discover the little fringes on some of the cloth pieces looking like centipede legs. Marti

this is so beautiful... looks like the beautiful desert to me. and i do the same thing... love to touch the stitches. rubbing my fingers over them... it *is love.

and like velma said, i sleep with mine... they lay right next to me in the bed at night where a pillow would be... until they're ready to go over to the desk area.

also i replied to your pincushion thread... did you get one yet? if not, i think you must've been calling mine. i put the story on the post at the class blog. i will post a photo of it on my blog this evening (as soon as i dig it out and take a picture) if you're still interested... i will send it to you if you like it

Kaye...thank you. it's not
finished yet....
and
Velma, i will! although, well,
no, not although. i have really
odd dreaming. no one else i have
ever talked to dreams like i do...
wouldn't want those dreams to
get stuck in it...but hmmmm.
i'll do it. tonight.

michele..i hadn't seen your story
on C to C....well, seems it's
ready to go...YES! i really like
things like this...it will bring
with it your energy ~!~ YES!.
Life is good....

oh wow grace, this is spectacular! i can't really put my finger on it yet, but something about this piece seems so familiar. not really the piece itself, but the energy of it. very awesome.

really enjoy your butterfly, it's inspired me so much today! i see doing something like this as a moth... while against a pale indigo background and a dark indigo moon... aaahhhh! and so has your pincushion post. i've been thinking for a while that i actually need a pincushion and have been thinking of making a special indigo one... but been sitting with the idea. your post kinda gave me that gentle nudge to get working. plus jude's massive pincushion blew my mind!!! i'm thinking i need to go in that direction ;)

truly great works grace, now that we have a good base for bases, i can't wait for spirit cloth course... yipppee!

jennlui yippeee! i guess! you can say that again, a million times.
and familiar, YES. we, probably many of us, "talk" of the connective energy, the energy that
seeks out kindred spirit...well...
maybe suddenly, here it IS! Not
just a hope, but a reality that
is very energized?
i am not surprised that it is familiar to you...not at all. and
it's not finished yet...so.....
if michele still wants to part with
that pin cushion, we'll see what
that brings.
this is just the greatest that i
ever imagined...
much much love to you

deborah...thank you. here is
