Indeed a helper because I opened the door, peered through the eye of the needle, peeked in the key hole, looked up at the sky light and created at last, a google account so that my comments would no longer be anonymous and you would no longer keep needing to reply to Marti/Anon. Proud to say that I am follower # 28 on windthread and my little icon is a photo of my dye jars.
fieldlady~ my heart is happy. and i can say at this time to all who might look here and at others' little blog houses, marti and nance, nandas, are two women that i by chance found over 6 years ago when we were participating in a womens online writing group. for reasons, the online writing fell away but we did not. and we have watched and encouraged each other on a continuous basis over these years, proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that the internet is a very real and functional family, if one choses. it's a happy day, marti... love.
also...i love the pics some days ago on your blog of the dock and lilypads...they flooded me with memory of my aunt's cottage where i spent summers...just like that. docks. the lapping of the water...
yes... in my sci-fi geekoverse cosmos, space, black infinite represents consciousness. (i was thinking of 2001 space odyssey)
the monolith representing the realizing of everything that is... looking into the black void... emptiness black fullness
maybe too much info :) but...
"The ambiguity, abstraction, plasticity and strangeness of the monolith is a placeholder for anything that encourages an evolutionary leap in human consciousness."
but i'd say for humans in consciousness as i don't think there's any differentiation.
twich...never too much. and i do agree with the FOR humans in consciousness. there is great similarity in tibetan buddhism which is my sci fi. all this, why this particular cloth will take a lot of "still" time...just looking. don't know if there will be any "more" to it ever? but something in me wants to maybe just a certain kind of kantha.

a door
i will go in
A door, yes - or the eye of a needle.
Or maybe a key hole?
Or a skylight revealing a storm gathering in a New Mexican night sky. Marti
the thing about the simplicity is that it can be ALL these things
No matter what - as long as it´s pink + grey... ;)

i think of a door, an opening to the cosmos. to the infinite swirl of nebulas and black space.
