aah raven medicine!beautiful work grace! well i'm for sure not an embroiderer either, no where close, but i do love this and the space between stitches. seems to give your magic friend a bit of texture and character. but ravens are shapeshifters, so who knows which shape it will appear next.and that little patch of fabric top right... with the worn hole, another portal in your work? is it just me or a reoccurring theme? love it either way. i think i had mentioned this before, on your post with piece with the blue center and pen doodling... how i love portals, and doors... symbols i am researching and feeling out.hope your weekend was fabulous.xox
portals...doors, windows.... wellyes. a recurrent Love... threshhold is another word...this particular little "hole"was in the plaidy part...so i loved it for that...a Way Through.we are always looking at ways through i think, and best if we don't know what is on the other side, but just know that going through is the Way There. sometimes, i wonder about myself, but mostly, it's been an ok way tolive.
I love this naive style stitchery and I am enamoured with your Raven.Jacky xox
jacky well, "my raven" will be pleased with you being enamored...s(he)flashes overhead almost daily now.i understand very well that it would be risky business to lighthere...but also watch the low swoop....other things have happened herebecause i have really "asked".who knows.
Well...I like her just the way she is, in my mind coming out of the mist and fog.
Deb well....this is good then. amgetting the sense that just "sitting" with a stitching question is good work in itself.
I agree...she looks good just the way she is. She's so full of energy.
suzanna...yes..but we'll see whatcomes in Spirit Cloth workshop.
