I love this, Grace. I am drawn to the Celtic lore of the raven and crow as messengers to the spiritual world. I have no ravens here as you know, but I look to the crow for signs, just as I do the dragonflies. Working all weekend - more soon. Kathy
kathy...crows/dragonflies we love the same and that special connection for me to Michigan. re working weekend, i still work mon/tues it is such a distraction. oh well. did you sign in for the workshop? i am looking forward so much to working with you there... love
Nice to see this up close - I think your stitch looks great and I like how you've added other colours then black thread - like the sheen of the feathers.
Your raven alights on your cloth and the tiny stitches, holding yet freeing: The subtle other colors of her feathers traveling down her body, the clear shape to her, the openness, she lets you see whatever you need to see, whatever you need to know, whatever you need to do, it is there for the looking, the asking, the doing. Marti
jude ~ yes. can just let this rest for now. am looking much forward to learning this as i go, and how best to use stitch and space, addition of cloth as you mentioned in C~C... this has turned out to be an important cloth, and partly because the uneasiness of the original pushed me to make it "right"... hmmmm.
You probably guessed I love ravens... um... the name of my land and blog! I like the stitching.. ravens have that rough textured look around the neck, I think you've captured a bit of the energy and movement. Nice.

Yvonne thanks you...i wasn't sure at all about those wing

DO appear in the stark desert light
