for me, it's about Light

heat, warmth, kinds of time and
more, that i am still thinking about.
will edit this as it goes.
the first pic:..you can see down on the floor, just before the rooster, a large
glass vase. as i sat this morning,
suddenly, the slow reluctant sun illuminated
this glass in a way that only happens
in December. MID December. nearer solstice,
it won't happen. but this morning it was
ablaze.
the second is self evident
the third pic is where this cloth resides.
it will have no backing, so that the light
can come through. it will remain there until
the long dark is over, until December 22 when we
again move toward the light.

Hi grace! We're having a snowstorm here as I look at your pictures of the desert light! What I noticed in the first pic were those amazing cement blocks, never saw any like that before! And the Frido Kahlo book on the shelf. LOVE her and Diego big time. In the 3rd pic, the glow of the fire in the woodstove is captured so perfectly and looks real cozy to me right now! Thinking of you today, Terri

I've never thought about that moment when dark is darkest, and in the next... the ultimate balance. Best of all, in the next moment we move again into the Light! Nice thoughts... I like them.

OH! I forgot to say how much I LOVE the last photo. I wish I was there with you in your cozy place, stitching away.

How I love the cat's ears with sun shining through them and halos of light all around her. She's like a sun goddess reminding us that there will be more light after Dec 21. Your pitcher full of light. It's
what's missing right now-light.

Patty...yes. its missing.
and when it IS there, it's for
only that moment...then gone...
and it comes so
low
to the horizon...
maybe this teaches to watch
closely, constantly. ?
