i like her costume, so hand woven looking like she made it herself..and that her face echoes the moon. i like how despite things lining upon an angle, everything is also spinning. and how the vertical ridges resulting from the kantha stitches seem to correct all the movements and bring me back to earth. like rain. whew. that just came spilling out.
NICE! I see what you mean about the red butterfly. I love her where you put her, fluttering in the shadow of the moon. Have you named this piece, or do you do that??? I don't remember a name in an earlier post. I also love the texture all your wonderful stitches have given this piece. I wish I could touch it in real time!
this is a very fine piece. everything works well together. the spinning moon is what makes it all right in keeping my eye moving in the right direction. the butterflies seem to be moving their wings. it is very animated!
I also love it. I love all the french knots above her head and around the piece. It is wonderful to see the cloth scrunch up and be soft. Wish I could hold it as well..
It went in the right direction. The moon balances the kantha above which balances the figure which is balanced by the orange on the right. Yet you left enough imbalance for it to be in motion. Very nice!
TaDa!, back at you, Grace! I enlarged your story cloth, LARGE, to see the moon up close...... i love how it radiates into the ripples of cloth, all as one. que linda

A good day for finishing things. So many details that I like, but I think especially the sun's rays.

And you ask, "What am I not doing?"
She says "Your voice cannot command.
In time, you will move mountains,
And it will come through your hands."
So whatever your hands find to do
You must do with all your heart
There are thoughts enough
To blow men's minds and tear great worlds apart
There's a healing touch to find you
On that broad highway somewhere
To lift you high
As music flying
Through the angel's hair.
Don't ask what you are not doing
Because your voice cannot command
In time we will move mountains
And it will come through your hands
Grace and Nandas both: one powerful word of "wow".
