Deb G...well, what to say. this
work now is close to more than
i'd imagined. looking so closely
this evening, tonight, as a storm
moves through, in the light of the
sewing lamp
i am seeing things i didn't imagine
seeing. the smallest little
images maybe a 1/4 inch is a whole
world of it's own..... ~

It is beautiful Grace...I think it looks like soft animal fur now. A wild gentle creature. I've been re-experiencing the invisible baste too...it makes the cloth strong in such a subtle way...

this is the best part for me. past the initial introductions and where you get to really know cloth. seeing things i had no idea were there.

twhIch...yes it is. tonight i
feel mesmerized by the fibers, how
the tension needs to be this
direction or that, how close i
can come to an edge and what
happens. it's really a beautiful
experience.

T~ thank you. invisible baste.
i cannot say enough about invisible
baste. i will forever be on my
knees in gratitude for jude's
teaching invisible baste. something so amazing happens when
it gets going in a cloth.
the the Roman Shade...well, it's
cotton, but interesting, a kind of
crisp muslin. it's those long
shashes that have my attention.
