3d weaving. it has been a long time for me.
jude...3d weaving.this is Wolf Basket, woven byJoyce Tinkham in Ann Arbor Michiganwho i have tried to find and can't.Back in my other life, when iwas part owner of the book storethere...we also, in the beginning, offered things like this.joyce made the most amazing baskets...containers, really, like this...just from jute.so..that was um, i guess 1987? Wolf Basket has traveled the worldwith me. is one of my most treasured things. inside areboth my kids umbilical cords andtheir first lost teeth.i have tried to find her becausei think she would like to know.she also told me something veryimportant. her grandmother taughther to bead, was north coast native...don't know in this moment howto spell..tlinket..is it, phonetically, anyway, her grandmother taught her to searchand search for any dropped bead.that if you say...oh, well, notimportant, the spirit of the beadswill never allow you to make beautiful designs. each and everysingle bead carries this spirit.i will take more pics of Wolfbasket
