I like the look of this Grace. And you know, when jude started blogging about weaving I just thought I wouldn't get into it - but it is starting to creep in on me! Have a good day, Gilly xx

can't wait to see where you go with this...nanduti lace is a kind of weaving on cloth. the weaving is done with a needle. the cloth is laced onto a frame all the way around. when the weaving is finished, the cloth is cut away from the backside.

here's a video on nanduti lace so you can see how the cloth is attached to the frame.

Gilly...i know. but what stuck
with me was a stray comment way
back that weaving can inform
about how we understand cloth/fiber
and how we use it
so...no, i will not become a weaver, but i have always learned
from any thing she has suggested
xx to you
and i really like all you are doing
on Storycloth so much

It looks like a musical instrument - greek Lyre, weaving music as you sew
