OH GRACE THIS HAS A REALLY NICE FEEL TO IT. I CAN SEE THE BLUE FIGURE ON A LAKE WITH A MOUNTAIN PEAK BEHIND IT THAT ENDS WITH THE RAVEN. THE SWOOPING MOVEMENT OF THE RAVEN IS FANTASTIC- REALLY GOOD SWIRLING MOTION. I CAN SENSE FROM YOUR PLACEMENTS THAT YOU HAVE WORKED HARD AT THIS. WOOHOO,GILLY

gilly is right! it shows lots of attention to detail... although i might think that she is standing in ravens shadow...the mountain.. yes. i love your drawing ability with the raven...and the eye you develope as a result. this is going to great heights! this is monumental you know...could be large or small and still have the same impact. how small we are before such greatness of the mountain and raven.

and the oncoming storm.

Ha I can also see a Grand Canyon type ravine instead of the mountain. Cool.

funny! its all about the positive/negative! it will be exciting to see what you do... art is really a lot about solving problems, isn't it? how to keep the markings of the cloth... how to be loyal to it and at the same time be loyal to the story.

raven and small person are about the right distance apart, but i'm curious as to what small person is standing on - it looks like a giant insect perhaps...k.

In many myths, raven is a she, a messenger, a trickster, shape shifter, bearer of new ideas,a story teller. The cloth wind is swirling, blowing at her back, furling her wings, full glory, as raven flies down to the being below. Will she morph into the being or remain her winged self? What is her message?

As someone who is new to the use of thread and needle, I look at fiber art more from the impact felt, rather than the technique. Here is the power of your cloth grace:

When I first saw it, with just the weave, it spoke to me of raven. Now, raven is on the cloth and the cloth is asking for each of us to dig deep and think of what it all means...good stories do that, they leave you wanting answers, story cloth that does the same, is magic cloth.

Just love the raven and your placement (this was definitely one to make bigger!). I'm curious about where your small figure will go...

Grace, this is becoming quite a story. I am in love with the raven and the fact that the observer has a birds eye view of the person in the story.

This has a stormy but peaceful mood to which I am always drawn to. The tension in a seemingly calm but uncertain moment. The raven is lovely - the swooping wings and the wispiness of the edges - I want to see it closer! : )
