?
have a thing about just adding something that "looks good" but is not "about" the cloth....
so...can't let it go for the night.
holding it, it FEELS very good...the butterfly now and the light odd piece. it feels very balanced.
but
and so...i think...what is missing from the story...the sun light...?
a piece of glennis' silk is pinned.
now, can go to sleep. i need to be up at 3:30.

LOVE the difference in photo
quality taken tonight with flash
the sudden appearance of each
thread in the cloth...ohhhhh
love this
Yes... and the silk is perfectly place.
karen..i think so too...but
we'll see when sun rises...am off
for the day...
thanks
the piece of silk is great; it makes the whole thing come together; I love it.
Wonderful piece and I think the addition of Glennis's silk look great....what a fantastic cloth. I love how the butterfly emerged.
Hope you slept well.

i actually love the difference in photos ar different times of day. well you know how i like to paint with dolce silk... but what i like here also is how the shape of the moth is mimicked in this slice of sunlight. and the sudden wash of color.
excellent... i was in agreement with jude... not quite done before... i like this new addition and it is very well placed.. echos the other triangular shape... up at 3:30?
What a marvelous blog, with wondrous stories! Thankyou for sharing them - Julie
jude...this is a step away from
my "purist" self, but what if that
white shape is a chrysalis, a
cacoon?.......things rise in the
mind and float
there something in this about being still - enough to attract a butterfly
the stitched/drawn lines are very nice
The new color suggests an amazing bird to me...a different dimension...
Beautiful Grace - love your words, art, insights and process. thanks for sharing your blog brightens my day : )
Blessings, Sandra in AZ : )
purist. it has a meaning, a mood, but is it ever real?
jude~something "broke" yesterday,
broke as in like a fever breaks
or a spell.
and i am not at all sure what is
real and i am not at all sure it
matters.
i just want to sew
sometimes when you study a foreign language, you study and study. you make progress but it doesn't all come together right away. then after studying a long time, something "breaks" and you are free... you can speak the language, communicate on a new level...
nddas/nance this is a very
interesting analogy...very
help FULL...
i am not knowing how to speak
any of it with stitch/cloth
but still....the thing has broken
i cut some of the kantha, ordered
the table, watered all plant people, cooked some food. i am
ready for tomorrow to see what happens.
sandra in Az...please leave
thoughts whenever it occurs....
thank you for coming...
karen...well, it's Sat. now and
things are about to
CHANGE
again
