Continuing, but a brief rest for now

this, i think, is enough for now.

the leaves need to have brown attachment stems to the branch
the rising Sun needs more, as does the silk ray of light
most of all, the chrysalis, or cacoon needs work to resemble more closely the photograph i sent earlier.
it needs shaping and it needs the little decorations of ever so tiny pieces of thorn that the Russian Olive
branch provided. (dianna..the little pretzel looking things)

Grace I love how that branch sort of takes you out of the picture then back in again...like a meandering thought and then concentrating again.

photograph of the single chair
against the magnificant sky!!!
yes. the Pretzel thing did come
out and is still a mystery. there
was an opening and that's all i
know. i will continue to try to
find someone in that field who
can tell me. i have brought her
work of art in. have it here as
inspiration for making and for
life.

no problem, Grace. I knew it was me you were talking about. so sad that this class has ended. hope there will be many more from Jude and more beautiful pieces from you to admire.

deanna, i am needing this pause.
it has been since mid may and i
have many pieces started but un
finished. i am really wanting to
work on them, going back to the
Cloth to Cloth, see the journey
in these pieces, see where i have
gotten, see where i might need to
go. i also am thinking i need to
MAYBE think in terms of making some pieces that "go together"...
what will i DO with a trillion
cloths????
do you make large quilts out of
what you create? it's just a
thought, but a thought just the same.

Grace, sure do agree about needing a break. It's like it all needs to absorb and stew a bit.... And I have a sweater to finish knitting before fall. :)
