If things "go right", every summer there is
just such a web, tho different spider, on my
porch. she provides my evenings entertainment
and thinking of her today, i remember how she
does a certain thing after spinning out a
strand: she stops and "pats" in a certain
place or two

several months ago there were pictures in the nytimes about these spiders and some cloth woven from their silk...golden of course... i will look and see if i can hunt it up... but here you have your lessons for making a web all before your eyes! good for you... such a good student, you are!
