ok..here we go...this is EXACTLY what i have been thinking about. how it seems to me that cloth, fiber, thread(s) have a Life.
not one in particular, but maybe more, a Life Force, that is in
response
to human touch, to any vision someone might have of how the cloth can become an expression of something inside them that wants to be communicated?

Yes! Exactly.
Exactly.
Nothing ever really dies, it just changes form. You can't destroy atoms, and you can't destroy energy. It just becomes something else. And it remembers its life.
kaye...when i got up from the
computer chair and turned around,
i was startled! it was totally
unexpected...a crack of first morning sun was coming through just right to create the "fire"...
on the seed tips of the rice grass and on the silk....
"and it remembers its life." So
this is this particular Memory Bag.
bringing me cloth memories.....
and my sense is, its only just begun.
yes, only just the beginning ;)
What a marvellous story it will be.
jennlui, Yes i think we are all tapping into something really
endless and part of it is that
it is the collective consciousness
....there is enormous energy there
more...i have always believed that but now i am SEEING it with Jude's
Spirit Cloth
yes collective unconscious grace! as i had mentioned on jude's blog, this has fascinated me for a very long time. how we can tap into this energy and come out with similar symbols and meanings for things in this wondrous life. how it connects us all! spooky a little...
i've seen it in glimpses and glimmers throughout my life, and studying this stuff in university was way awesome, but now it's like we are living it day to day with jude's classes and her blog. i am endlessly amazed how we can translate so much of this wordless magic through cloth... exciting to say the least!
and my little something is in the postal system for you ;)
just commented on your anchored block post from today on cloth to cloth... magic happening... limitless potential!
hence the name.... spirit cloth...
welcome.
"We are all made of stars..." for some reason that came to mind. :)

All the Strange Hours
the Excavation of a Life
jude hill
spirit cloth
hence.
hence. I love this word.
hence.
from this place, away.
hence,
oh.
what a day it has been.
and tonight, tho it is only a half
moon,
it was a First Toad Moon.
there, gently going about its business, the First Toad.
I watered.
Late.
not weaving the Watering Self in
as I wished,
but late.
There, tho
was
First Toad.
Life is patient.
you cannot know, jude hill, you
cannot know how real you are...to
me
i have looked long and hard.
here we are.
hence.
Grace, my library didn't have either of the books you recommended I did put in a request for The Lost Notebooks...
why do fibers speak to us so? are we made of fiber? is it integral?
and, how many swoon when they see a few old threads woven into a cloth, and unwoven, tattered?
velma
yes, swoon...and i would add, to
see your hollyhock cloth just
unwrapped.
i don't know, but the intense
beauty in fibers, cloth or paper
just make me a little crazy.
since i was a child.
I have always had a thing for
museum "dioramas"...looking at
these little representations of
living, and often, it's the
weavings, the bound togethers,
that fascinated.
i will probably wear everyone out
hearing me rattle on about how
just totally happy i am to have
found this Community. it's just
unbelievable, still.
