second window hanger

finished. i don't know if the string that goes
through the middle will be visible when i send
the pic to blog or not. but it is just a plain
hemp string that is separated into individual
fibers at both ends. there are also 3 hidden
things. i am unsure about these hidden things,
but...they are there.
after it arrives at Wendy's and the children
have it, i will talk about the 3.

standing

because of the size of the window hanger, the
invisible baste needs to be done
standing. i move back and forth, side to
side of the ironing board. it's night
and the kitchen light and sewing light are
the only lights inside and outside for some
distance. as i stitch, i
feel
an awareness of this....me, in this place,
moving back and forth
how each piece of the woven cloth is being
connected

i found this yesterday at the thrift shop. appears
to be a curtain? has these long strips sewn one on
back one on front. is this the way it would go?

here we go

this fabric is amazingly wonderfully wonderful.
it was a skirt i found at the thrift shop years ago
that i got just on a "feeling"...a kind of frumpy
skirt but something about the pattern....
woven like the one i made for myself in the first
Cloth to Cloth. Cut out. now to invisible baste
and see what all it wants.
this is the second and last window hanger for
Wendy's children.
the little butterfly being may or may not stay. am
trying to remain really empty of intent until the
basting is finished.
oh sigh.

enough for now

this is pretty much It.
going to live with it for a while, let the dogs do the
same.
the small center bottom piece took
forever to figure out.
Thank you all for your patience, but i need to
keep a "record" of what i'm doing these days.

falling in love

i fall in love with
light
with how my house
receives light
how things i love in my house
receive light

this time of year

when the morning light enters
in the most uh, Sure way,
as if it is seeking certain
things and places it remembers
from past years at this time
of the circling round

i surprised it by setting two
jars for it on the window ledge
on left is New Mexico Olive
on right dried heads of a native flower
i can't remember name of right now..
they are glowing
